We had the extraordinary opportunity to create a unique audio experience at the Roman castrum in Ovidiu, Constanța, Romania. Set within the ruins of an ancient paleochristian basilica, we placed each individual singer of the Sotto Voce Choir from Bucharest in a separate speaker, creating a mesmerizing and immersive auditory journey.
This contemporary choir, positioned within the historical remnants of the basilica, offered a profound contrast that elevated the atmosphere to one of true transcendence. The event was part of the Romania sistat series, featuring scenography by the talented Adrian Damian. His creative vision highlighted the ancient Roman columns with a striking red hue, further enhancing the overall ambiance.
The fusion of modern choral music with the echoes of history provided attendees with a deeply moving and unforgettable experience, blending the past and present in a harmonious symphony.
